King William spoiled Mathews High School’s homecoming on Friday night, as the visiting Cavaliers crushed the varsity Blue Devil football team, 47-14.
The loss dropped the Devils’ record to 3-5 overall; 1-1 in the Tidewater District. King William, meanwhile, picked up its first district win while improving to 6-1.
