Christchurch School senior Taylor Byrd of Gloucester, is among the top youth and prep players attending Football University’s Top Gun football training camp at Warhill High School in Williamsburg this week. Byrd is set to be the starting quarterback for the Seahorses this fall.
Byrd was invited to be a Top Gun participant while attending Football University’s invitation-only regional camp in Annapolis, Md., earlier this month. The FBU Top Gun camp taps the top participants in the regional camps, and Byrd is one of only 40 varsity QBs attending, a release stated.
After Top Gun, Byrd will attend a one-day football camp at Virginia Military Institute. He has also made several college visits this summer.
