The Mathews High School tennis team picked up a 9-0 win over Bruton last Wednesday, falling Thursday to another AA opponent, York High School.

GHS girls win first PD matches

The Lady Dukes swept Heritage, 8-0, on Friday and got by Menchville, 5-4, on Tuesday.

Lady Dukes in second place in district

The Dukes pounded Hampton 19-0 on the Crabbers’ field on Saturday.

Lady Devils go 1-1 against NN District opponents

The team defeated Lancaster and fell to Northumberland.
