Lady Devils win Tidewater District titles

For the sixth year in a row, the Mathews High School varsity volleyball team earned both the Tidewater District regular season and tournament championship crowns.

GHS cross country teams 1st, 2nd in PD

By The Gloucester High School cross country team kept its winning tradition alive with an impressive showing at the 2010 Peninsula District Cross Country championships last Thursday at Newport News Park.

MHS boys, girls win district titles

The Mathews High School cross country team got its postseason off to a fast start, winning last Wednesday’s Tidewater District championship and taking six of the seven individual All-District spots.

Wolverines hand Dukes 42-7 loss

Woodside scored on its first play from scrimmage and went on to beat Gloucester, 42-7, in Peninsula District football action Saturday.

Pointers defeat Devils, 43-20

The Mathews High School varsity football team fell to 3-6 (1-2 in the Tidewater District), after losing Friday night’s game against the homestanding West Point Pointers, 43-20.
