Jaelynn Bennett of Gloucester, was named to the fall dean’s list at Mary Baldwin College. The recognition requires a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.74.

Elizabeth Keane of Gloucester, has been named to the fall semester dean’s honor roll at the University of Tulsa. The recognition requires a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.99.

Ariana N. Myers, a third grader at Kiln Creek Elementary School and a former Abingdon Elementary School student, attended President Barack Obama’s second inaugural ceremony with her great-grandmother, Rosa S. Myers of Hayes. This was Ariana’s first trip to Washington, D.C., taking part in this historic event. They traveled to the capital in a bus trip sponsored by the Epsilon Eta chapter of the Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc., Gloucester. Ariana is the daughter of Petty Officer Jesse Wilson and Regina C. Wilson.
