The Gloucester Library has a couple of new children’s programs planned for the coming weeks, according to children’s coordinator Kathy Barrows.
On Halloween, Wednesday, Oct. 31, the library will host a "Spooky Lot Trick or Treat" for ages 2-12 at the parking lot at the Point branch. The parking lot area near the library will be closed to traffic from 5:30-7 p.m., with children visiting each vehicle there for a "trunk-or-treating" adventure, Barrows said.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. In case of inclement weather, the activity will be moved to the library’s community room.
The week of Nov. 3-9, both branches of the Gloucester Library will hold a "Noodling" program for second through fifth graders. "We are trying a new approach and hope this will create some interest with the kids," Barrows said.
