Soledad O’Brien and five producers who support the CNN anchor/correspondent, including Gloucester High School alumna Alyse Shorland, will receive the Special Programming Award in the television category of the Front Page Awards. The awards are presented annually by the Newswomen’s Club of New York to recognize exceptional work by women journalists in the New York area. The awards will be presented Nov. 10 at the Downtown Association in Manhattan. Shorland holds degrees from the University of Virginia and New York University, and is the daughter of Scott and Debbie Shorland of Gloucester.
