Ashley Morgan Deal has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at Virginia Commonwealth University where she is a sophomore majoring in psychology with minor studies in criminal justice. The recognition requires a 3.5 or higher grade point average. Deal is the daughter of Joanie and Buck Deal of Gloucester.

Daniel Fary of Gloucester has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at New River Community College. The recognition requires a 3.2 or higher grade point average.

Helen Roundy has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at Radford University where she is a junior majoring in sports medicine. The recognition requires a 3.4 or higher grade point average. Roundy is the daughter of Wendy and Douglas Roundy Jr. of Gloucester.

Seth Theuerkauf has been named a 2013 James Monroe Scholar at the College of William and Mary. The Monroe Scholar program, which encompasses the top 7 percent of the student body, requires a grade point average of 3.8 or above for admittance and provides $3,000 in funding for a large-scale independent research project. Theuerkauf was also named to the fall semester dean’s list at W&M, a recognition that requires a GPA of 3.6 or above. He is the son of Dan and Tina Theuerkauf of Gloucester.

William H. Truscott has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at Virginia Military Institute where he is a senior majoring in history and international studies The recognition requires a 3.0 or higher grade point average. Truscott is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark A. Truscott of Gloucester.

Tyler Tillage has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at the University of Richmond where he is a sophomore majoring in music and pre-medicine. The recognition requires a 3.5 or higher grade point average. Tillage is also a member of the Phi Eta Sigma honor society and the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He is the son of David and Holly Til-
lage of Gloucester.

Cody Stroup has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at Virginia Commonwealth University where he is a freshman majoring in criminal justice. The recognition requires a 3.5 or higher grade point average. Stroup is the son of Doug and Patty Stroup of Mathews.

Emily Satchell has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at Virginia Commonwealth University where she is a freshman majoring in mass communications. Satchell had a 4.0 grade point average for the semester and, in recognition, was awarded a $3,000 VCU Academic Achievement Grant. She is the daughter of Bob and Ellen Satchell of Gloucester.
