Twins Connelly and Mary Scott Hardaway have been named to the fall semester dean’s list at the University of Virginia where they are sophomores majoring in English with minors in history and bioethics, respectively. The recognition requires a 3.4 or higher grade point average. Both girls are columnists for the Cavalier Daily, the UVA student newspaper, and members of Delta Gamma sorority. They are the daughters of Scott and Laurie Hardaway of Hayes.

Ryan Speray of Gloucester, has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at Bridgewater College where he is a senior majoring in history and political science. The recognition requires a 3.4 or higher grade point average.

Joel Davis of Mobjack, has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at Messiah College in Grantham, Pa., where he is a sophomore majoring in Christian ministries. The recognition requires a 3.6 or higher grade point average.

Peter Pagan has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at Virginia Commonwealth University where he is majoring in mass communications/creative advertising. Pagan had a 4.0 grade point average for the semester. He is the son of June Pagan of Gloucester Point, and the late Peter Pagan.

Hilary Tatterson Aldous of Mathews, graduated from the University of South Alabama during commencement exercises on Dec. 18. She graduated with a 4.0 grade point average and earned an alternative master’s degree in early childhood special education. She also completed the Florida Institute of Technology Advanced Series in Applied Behavior Analysis coursework. During her studies she completed 1,500 field work hours at the Little Tree Preschool and Woody’s Song, two schools committed to meeting the needs of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other developmental disabilities. Aldous will take the exam to become a board certified applied behavior analyst this spring. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mr. John Borum Tatterson of Mathews.
