.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) | Posted on Nov 17, 2010 - 04:25 PM Printer Friendly View

Photo: The view for motorists driving along Route 14 in Gloucester will get more colorful come Spring, when 2,000 daffodil bulbs planted by members of the Garden Club of Gloucester at Ware Academy start to bloom. Approximately 30-40 people took part in Saturday’s planting effort. Sue Perrin designed the layout and chose the varieties, which came from Brent and Becky’s Bulbs. Ware Academy will be the new site for the Garden Club of Gloucester’s annual Daffodil Show in March and will also be the home for the 2012 Garden Club of Virginia Daffodil Show. Club president Carol White said that the group hopes to plant a total of 6,000 bulbs at the school over the next couple years. Shown planting bulbs are, from left, Erika Spadaccini, Macon Swartzwelder, White and Suzanne Tunner Hudson. Photo by Charlie Koenig
