Ware Academy program focuses on art and wellness
Ware Academy continued its focus on fine and performing arts and wellness with a recent week-long program titled "Beyond Our Wildest Dreams." Ware fine arts faculty members, along with community artisans, shared their talents with the students in a variety of ways.
The activities included an art project with Middlesex artist Jenny McCurtrie, pottery crafts with Wendy Marsh of the Bay School and Mathews potter Martha Hayes, and block printing with Gloucester artist Patty Rosenberg. Ware art teacher Linda Brent and music teacher Regina South also provided special activities. In addition, local instructors provided yoga, Zumba and Taekwondo lessons.
Also in February, Ware students heard a performance by the MSG Acoustic Blues Trio as part of the school’s celebration of Black History Month. The trio members also conducted a student workshop on performing blues music.
