Nicole Cogle, a rising junior at Gloucester High School, spoke about her experience in the People to People student ambassador program at the July 26 meeting of the Gloucester Ruritan Club, which was held at American Legion Post 75 at White Marsh. Cogle spent 19 days in June visiting England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland, representing the United States. She met with local people there, helping in community projects on a good will mission. People to People program was started by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956 to help spread peace and good will through young people. Cogle has been invited to participate in the same program next year, with a trip to Italy. She received a Gloucester Ruritan mug from club president Tom Swankler.
