Jana Leigh Davis received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University on Dec. 7. Davis has accepted a position in the acute care medical unit at VCU Medical Center. She is the daughter of J.D. and Mary Ann Davis and the granddaughter of Myrtle D. Faulkner, all of Locust Hill.

Raven Hundley received a bachelor of science degree in psychology from Longwood University on Dec. 7. Hundley also completed minor studies in anthropology and was inducted into Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology. She is the daughter of Johnny and Marie Hundley of Hayes.

Justin Marshall of Gloucester, recently received an occupational certificate in wind energy technology at the North American Wind Research and Training Center at Mesalands Community College in Tucumcari, New Mexico. The one-semester certificate program provided instruction in safety, wind turbine technology and turbine maintenance. As part of the training, Marshall climbed the college’s 300-foot-tall, 1.5-megawatt wind turbine. The training also included wind economics, electricity, hydraulics and mechanics.
