Gloucester High School celebrated homecoming with activities and competitions last week, along with a parade down Main Street Friday evening. The parade included float entries from each GHS class, with the winning entry being the "Catch the Crabbers" themed float created by the senior class.

GHS teacher Donna Freeman and GHS NJROTC Commander Ron Harding led the parade as grand marshals. The ROTC cadets also participated in the parade, and stepped to the music provided by the GHS Marching Dukes.

Members of the 2012 homecoming court were featured in the parade and several local fire and rescue apparatus were part of the lineup. Gloucester Youth Football players and cheerleaders also participated in the parade.

The GHS junior class was awarded the Spirit Stick for its display of homecoming spirit during the week and seniors Ben Cash and Allee Farris were named the 2012 Homecoming King and Queen during halftime of the homecoming football game.
