GHS students compete in underwater robotics contest
Four teams of Gloucester High School students participated in the Tidewater Regional SeaPerch Competition on Saturday in Newport News. The students combined to win 10 trophies in the underwater robotics contests, including first place in the stock and open divisions and first place overall.
The team of Melissa Wishmeyer, Trip Arnold, Tyler Paschal and Isaac Eastridge won the stock division, while the team of Dwight Keener, Payton Blodgett, Charles Milroy and Mae Dye won the open division. Dye is a Page Middle School student who competed with the GHS team. Both teams earned the opportunity to compete in the SeaPerch National Championships.
