On July 12th, the Piankatank Community League hosted its semi-annual covered-dish dinner for approximately 70 Gloucester Fire & Rescue volunteers. Once again, the community responded with donations of food, and assistance in serving and cleanup to make the dinner a great success. To all those residents who came out to show their support I say, "Thank You."
The Gloucester Fire & Rescue volunteers who attended our appreciation dinner are a group of tireless men and women who serve our community each and every day to give all of us the security of knowing they will always be there when we have an emergency or need help of any kind. They never fail to thank us for the dinners we provide when it is all of us in the community who owe them a hearty "Thank You."
Thank You … Two small words that mean so much. This effort and response really makes the League proud to be members of the Gloucester community.
