Planners not abiding by Constitution
Everyone in this constitutional republic is burdened with a moral duty to act as a sentinel for the liberty and freedoms of everyone else. Was not this country founded upon the principle of rule by the people?
In reference to the article appearing in the Aug. 4 Gazette-Journal ("Agenda 21: Is the U.N. really controlling local development?"), please permit me to ask, just how did "pursuit of the common good fall secondary to personal interests" manage to trump inalienable rights within the comprehensive plan?
It would appear that the planners who wrote the comprehensive plan had something else in mind other than abiding by the law of the land, the U.S. Constitution.
