Throughout the planning for the building of the new middle school, the school board members have ignored the Gloucester community which has elected them. The school board members, apparently due to lack of knowledge and experience, have decided to rely on the dictates of the hired school superintendent, who is not an architect. He is an administrator who appears to have ulterior motives.
It is the responsibility of the supervisors and the school board to provide the buildings and facilities for the education of our children. They should appoint a committee from both boards who, with the assistance of an unbiased, knowledgeable school architect, for the design and construction of the school.
We do not need glass walls and large, unused areas. Let level heads prevail. Beware of a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
