Letter: We can never thank you enough
These days you have a hard time finding people that are interested in giving of themselves. We are blessed to live in a county that has many people like that. There are two people that we would like to recognize for their kindness and generosity.
Ralph and Mary Valdrighi have been such a support to our community, helping in so many ways, some that we are sure we know nothing about. They have helped many groups and organizations, churches, MHS After Prom, fundraisers for individuals in need, the Boys and Girls Club, Rotary Club, Mathews Volunteer Fire Department and the Ladies Auxiliary to the Mathews Volunteer Fire Department, just to name a few … no way to name them all.
The Ladies Auxiliary to the Mathews Volunteer Fire Department would like to express their gratitude for the many acts of kindness to us and the firemen. Ralph and Mary gave so generously of food, drinks and their time when the firemen had structure fires or marsh fires that took them through meal times. They interrupted their restaurant business, The Seabreeze, to fix this food. Ralph even fixed a support system in his van to carry the food to the firemen on scene. He fed them so many times over the years, even in the wee hours of the morning so the guys would have something to eat before they went to work. They also fixed food and donated it for fundraisers for the fire department.
Ralph and Mary always showed up at the fundraisers, too, giving a second time. Any time we have asked for help they have been there for us with those beautiful smiles and those huge hearts saying, "Certainly, we would love to help you with that" and usually did more than we asked or did things for us without us asking.
How do you ever thank someone enough who has given so much?
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
We love you both very much and hope you enjoy your well-deserved retirement! (Even though we will miss you at the ’Breeze!)
We are forever grateful for your love, friendship and support.
Treasurer, Ladies Auxiliary
