Letter: Ralph Horn: hard working, compassionate

Posted on Feb 06, 2013 - 11:59 AM Printer Friendly View

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Lynn Hall, in her letter of Jan. 31st, is right on in asking the Mathews County Board of Supervisors to reinstate Ralph Horn as animal control officer. He is extremely hard working and has never turned anyone down who came to him for help—no matter what the hour.

His compassion for animals is beyond question, ergo, he gets along well with people. Mathews has many people with pets who give love to the lonely, attention to the sick, companionship to children, and hope to all.

We are lucky to have Ralph Horn and to not use his extraordinary background would be shameful.

K.S. Howland
