Letter: Providing care for animals in need
During the past several days, I have had the opportunity to benefit from a great group of people dedicated to the welfare of special animals, our cats and dogs. I took an 8-week-old feral kitten, Blue, for spaying on June 3 and the staff who assisted me were superb—patient, knowledgeable, kind and sympathetic to Blue’s needs and mine. Days prior to the surgery, Fanny (of the clinic) and Marge (of "CatSnip") answered all my questions and gave much-needed suggestions. On surgery day, Angela, Julie and Tammy, and other staff were so helpful in assuring me of their care for Blue. I am so thankful for having these services available in our area, delivered in a most professional manner and at a reasonable cost.
The clinic and its services are open to the public Monday through Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It is located at 4926 George Washington Memorial Highway in Hayes. It is a nonprofit organization (ARF-Animal Resource Foundation) and appreciates community support through monetary donations and items received on its "wish list" (such as towels, blankets, paper products, plastic bowls, cat and dog food, etc.).
