Letter: Mutt Strut a tremendous success
The Mutt Strut on the Catwalk 2010 Fashion Show to benefit the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society was held on Thursday, Sept. 23, at the Abingdon Ruritan Center, and was a tremendous success thanks to the tireless efforts of the many volunteers who organized the event and over 300 guests who attended and enjoyed the food, friendship and fashion. Seventeen of the shelter’s dogs and cats also got a chance to "strut their stuff" at the show, with four of these now adopted into new homes.
The GMHS Animal Shelter could not open its doors each day without the priceless support of our faithful volunteers and supporters in this community. On behalf of the staff and the many beautiful animals of the GMHS, we give our sincere thanks to all who worked to bring our fashion show "to life," and all who help to take care of and sustain the homeless pets still waiting for new families.
