The two trips to the Siegel Center in Richmond on the 16th and 17th of November were well worth the gas spent. Nine sets of exciting, heart-stopping, well-executed volleyball as the Mathews girls won their second straight state championship. But that wasn’t the only trophy that they brought home. They were also awarded the tournament Good Sportsmanship Trophy. We in Mathews are indeed fortunate to be represented by Coach Pat Moughon and the members of the Blue Devil volleyball team. Congratulations to them on winning the tournament and doing it with such class.
