Letter: Kudos for a smooth election in Mathews

During this past week after the election, we have read many stories of voting difficulties throughout the nation.
How fortunate we are in Mathews to have the planning, organization, teamwork and leadership that have been demonstrated by our General Registrar, Ruth Ann Hutson; our Electoral Board members Josie Thorpe, Bert Cross and Elena Siddall; and our Election Officers at our voting precincts.
Their election workday begins at 5 a.m. and does not end until 8 or 9 p.m. Well done.
