Letter: Individual property rights are being threatened
After the Supreme Court’s infamous “Kelo” decision in 2005, people across the nation have begun to express concern about their individual property rights. Given the recent problems experienced by Martha Boneta on her Northern Virginia farm and especially with Virginia’s impending new “storm water” regulations, these concerns are spreading across Virginia about restrictions on individual property rights and questions are being raised over the issue.
To illuminate and explain the problem, a public seminar on the destruction of individual property rights, the causes and potential solutions will be held Saturday, March 8 at 2 p.m. at the Lighthouse Worship Center on Route 17 in Hayes. You will learn the history and effects of government regulations directly impacting your private property from internationally known experts Tom DeWeese, president of the American Policy Center, Marc Morano and Dr. Ileana Johnson Paugh, senior writer for Canada Free Press. Please join county supervisors, school administrators, candidates for Congress, Bishop E.W. Jackson and others from around the state so you can get answers to important questions concerning your property rights. The seminar is free. We hope to see you at this important event.
