Letter: Haskins Ramos for Mathews supervisor

Posted on Nov 02, 2011 - 03:43 PM Printer Friendly View

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Even though I no longer reside in Mathews County, my extended family and longtime friends do. Mathews County is a very special place filled with very special people who deserve a voice in what happens to their hometown and in their lives. Mathews County residents need a voice that resonates compassion, understanding, a determination to fight for the rights of the citizens and most of all, an insight to the hearts of the residents. From my own personal experience, Haskins Ramos is that man.

Haskins has longtime ties to Mathews County, from a cottage in Moon to his family in Williams Wharf. Even though he had a business in Ashland, he saw the need in Mathews and made it happen very successfully and re-entered the hearts and lives of many residents. Haskins is a well-respected business owner in the county, has strong beliefs and great determination to fight for what is best for the residents of the county.

There are issues on the table for decision it seems. I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the residents’ wishes and desires will be portrayed if Haskins Ramos is your voice.

On Nov. 8, vote to have a voice! That voice is Haskins Ramos!
