Letter: Great Expo for M.O.M.
We would like to thank our community and supportive businesses for promoting and attending the vendor show at the Gloucester Moose Lodge on Saturday. It was a great event with raffles of products donated by more than 40 vendors present at the show. Products were raffled all day with proceeds going to the Mission of Mercy free dental clinic held at Gloucester High School in February.
The M.O.M. Project provided $300,000 in free dental services last year and $700,000 this year with the help of Dentist, Hygienist, Dental Assistants and many other volunteers. A special thank you to Dr. Harris, Mrs. Phyllis Harris, and Mrs. Kelly Copper who along with many others work tirelessly to make the M.O.M. project available.
A big thank you to the Gloucester Moose Lodge for hosting and providing concessions, and to Mr. Brooke Selmer and all the lodge members for what they do not only in the local community but also for their support of the M.O.M. project and our local direct sales businesses involved in the show.
The Gloucester Boy Scouts troop #138 was on hand to help the vendors unload and load their vehicles and was a big help throughout the show. These young men were professional, reliable, and willing to help wherever they were needed.
Our greatest appreciation to our vendors for donating products to help such a great cause. This event would not have been possible without your generosity. We look forward to seeing you all at the next show in the spring of 2012.
