Letter: Gloucester schools provide supportive environment
Editor, Gazette-Journal:
In response to several statements of neglect and discipline among Gloucester County Public Schools, I just wanted to let the public know that I have a son with special needs that has attended GCPS for six years now and the schools, as well as the teachers and principals, have been very supportive and helpful to my son.
They have continuously communicated concerns directly to me and have continuously supported any suggestions or concerns that I have had about my son. I have three other children that attend GCPS as well, all in various grades, and I appreciate the hard work and dedication of all the teachers and staff.
I know the teachers and principals work hard to provide challenging instruction as well as safe environments for all students. Being in the military has provided my children the opportunity to attend many different schools, and I must say that GCPS has been the best and most supportive school system yet.
In closing, I just want to say a big "thank you" to all the many hard-working teachers, administrators and all other staff members for the hard work, hours and dedication that they provide to all students in this community.

P.S. Yes, even in Kuwait, the teachers have kept in contact with me through e-mail about my children and their progress.
