Letter: Giving Thanks

Golden light spills through crisping leaves,
Frost lays crystal on pumpkins,
Brilliant blue skies draw the eye heaven bound,
Full harvest moons plump to round.
Apples soon ripen for picking,
Hot cider and pies to delight,
Pleasant, romantic fine evenings,
As Autumn falls softly on wings.
Families renew their connections
Gathering together to feast,
Embracing this country’s abundance
In thanks and joy, each to each.
Slowly the world shifts position,
Winter draws nigh on white paws,
Still in the silence of beauty
We’re touched, then brought home by the stars.
