I talked to my team all season how it took a community to build a successful team. I would like to take this opportunity to thank so many people who I felt were part of our recent successful season. It starts at school with Danny, Joey, the teachers, the students and the administration and school board members for their fabulous support. Our AD, Kristy, who made things happen and was there always. All the businesses who took the time to add their support to the newspaper as well as providing the inspiring signs up and down Route 17, was very impressive. Our fantastic JV team and their parents for getting them to the games; all of our younger players at the middle and the elementary level who, I hope, were inspired by hard work of the varsity team; the varsity field hockey parents, who just provide me with the greatest material to work with and are always there to help with anything; you are just fabulous. Special thanks to Maria Sadler, who gives so much of herself to make sure we are fed, comfortable and everyone is taken care of, no matter what the situation. Special thanks to my JV coach, Aaron, and my assistant coach, Janet. You complete this team and are so valuable and my crutches.
Finally, my girls who are tough, talented, beautiful, intelligent, hard-working and mine. They literally gave blood, sweat and tears to make this program better. You made every day special.
My parents always taught me to never forget who helped you get where you are and always appreciate them. It really does take a community and I thank you all!
