Letter: For Blake
I am writing to endorse Graham Blake for supervisor of the York District. I served with Graham on the Gloucester Board of Supervisors from 1996 to 2000 and know him to be a good man who always tries to do the right thing for the citizens of this community.
He is a fiscal conservative who voted against the real estate tax increase the four years we served together. He is a strong supporter of public safety, which includes the sheriff’s department and the volunteer fire and rescue squads, and was a volunteer firefighter for many years. Graham voted for the business park, is pro economic development and will work hard to bring jobs to Gloucester County.
I have heard some grumblings recently about the schools, and I know of no better-qualified person than Graham Blake to address these issues. He was a school board member for 14 years and has the knowledge and experience needed to build better working relationships between the board of supervisors and the school board. He did it in the ’90s, and he can do it again.
Graham believes he can make a positive difference, and I do, too.
