Letter: Fairfield event raises $11,000+
The Fairfield Foundation Board of Directors appreciates all of the community support and sponsorships that led to our most successful fundraising event ever. Our gracious hosts, Miranda McClintic and James Smith, opened their home at Glen Roy to more than 75 attendees who enjoyed the wonderful food from The Table at Wilton and the entertainment of the Virginia Homespun Dance Ensemble.
The event raised over $11,000 to support our foundation’s educational programs, public outreach, and archaeology and preservation projects across the Middle Peninsula, as well as the restoration of the future Center for Archaeology, Preservation and Education.
The Fairfield Foundation appreciates the generous support of our Gold-level event sponsor, Chesapeake Bank; our Silver-level event sponsors, John A. Singleton, lawyer, Carl & Lynn Fischer, Nam Duc Vu & Hoa Anh Tran, Tidewater Virginia Historical Society, and Off Grid By Design, as well as all of our Bronze-level event sponsors.
The event would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of many Fairfield Foundation volunteers, including Richard Boyer, Linda Bryson, Christopher Godschalk, Morgan Kempster, Forrest Morgan, Gus Rhodes, Erin Schwartz, Eileen Smith and Pattie Sobieski. Special thanks are also extended to board member Tom Karow, whose tireless efforts to organize the event ensured the success of the fundraiser as well as that of potential future fundraisers.
