Letter: Blake for York District supervisor
The election of capable people with integrity is especially important on the local level. The decisions made by our board of supervisors affect us directly. There are many reasons to vote for Graham Blake to represent the York District. Two that are very important are his experience and his involvement in the community. Graham will provide institutional memory to a board that does not have any members that have served more than two years. We cannot afford to repeat mistakes.
When you ask to serve in an elected position, you should already have a record of service to the community. Graham Blake has served on the school board, been active with the Abingdon Ruritans, volunteer fire department, Boy Scouts, cattlemen’s association, parks and recreation, Union Baptist Church, social services board, planning commission, youth football and many other community organizations. Mr. Blake’s banking experience and work with the State Corporation Commission further equip him for service to you. Graham is an experienced leader who will once again represent us well. I encourage you to study what the candidates have to offer the Gloucester Board of Supervisors. Then I think you will cast your vote for Graham Blake.
