Letter: Bikers have some of the biggest hearts
An amazing thing happened on Dec. 4. The Iron Skullz MC benefit for Ginger Rollins and her family was an overwhelming success. With the help of the biker community and local businesses we were able to raise over $3,700 for a family that otherwise would have had a bleak Christmas holiday.
Ginger is suffering from stage-four brain cancer and has been unable to receive assistance. She has several young children and a son serving his country in Afghanistan. She is a resident of Greensboro, N.C., but that didn’t stop the residents of Gloucester, Virginia, from coming to her aid. During a bad economic time and the holiday season they gave from their pockets and their hearts.
The Iron Skullz MC would like to thank all the motorcycle clubs who braved frigid temperatures to attend. The Illusions MC, Military Vets, Legion Riders, Boozefighters, Brothers In Arms and the Old Dudes. The Iron Skullz MC looks forward to helping you all with any charity endeavors you may have in the upcoming riding season.
We would also like to extend a special thanks to Balloon Promotions and Sign Works, Cruisers Sport Bar, all the businesses who donated raffle prizes and money and to ladies who held a bake sale that raised $450 alone. The entertainment by Crossroads and Stone Grove bands was above and beyond awesome. You should all be proud of what you accomplished.
Bikers have some of the biggest hearts when it comes to helping others and should like all people not be judged by their outward appearances.
Ginger still has a long battle in front of her. If you would like to help her you can donate to BB&T Bank account number 0005107543831 routing number 053101121.

The Iron Skullz MC wishes everyone a happy and safe holiday season and remember, don’t drink and drive; use a designated driver. The life you may save may be your own.
