The Mathews High School girls’ volleyball team would like to thank the community for the support and recognition for our recent state championship. We were pleased with the number of people who ventured to VCU to support our team and proud of the manner in which we were supported. It was an awesome experience for us and we owe much of that to our loyal fans.
We thank all of you for your kind words, notes of congratulations, dinners, signs, flowers and gifts (the rings) showered upon us. If we attempted to list all the nice things, we would surely leave someone out. We also appreciate the coverage from our hometown paper, the Gazette-Journal. Please know that we are truly grateful and are proud to say we represent Mathews High School and the community in which we live.
