Letter: Al Jazeera: Mouthpiece for terrorist groups?
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I like to back up my opinion with facts. According to "Jihad Watch," Al Jazeera has been called "the most powerful voice of the Muslim Brotherhood and is the leading terrorist propaganda organization in the world." The Muslim Brotherhood creed states: "Allah is our objective, the prophet is our leader, the Koran is our law, Jihad is our way, dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope." In fact, Jihad murder mastermind Anwar Al-Awlaki (mentor of Nadal Hasan—the Fort Hood Jihadist) was a big fan. How can we forget the videos of Osama bin Laden that mysteriously appeared on Al Jazeera?
Aljazeera.com reports that the Islamic state of Qatar, which owns Al Jazeera, supported the April 1, 2013 re-election of Hamas leader Khaled Meshael. During a speech in Cairo on Oct. 3, 2013, he called for "Jihad against the enemies of Allah and the prophets." According to the Center for Security Policy, the emir of Qatar, Hamid bin Khalifa Al Thani, donated $400 million to Hamas and funds the Muslim Brotherhood around the world. He appointed his cousin as chairman of Al Jazeera.
Radical Islam is something to be very concerned about. Not all Muslims are Jihadists, as not all Germans were Nazis. Sadly, the good Germans were irrelevant. This is a wake-up call for people to understand that Al Jazeera promotes radical Islamic terrorist groups. Al Gore got a sweet deal at $500 million, but at what cost to America?
