Letter: A tail wagging good time
To Tractor Supply in Gloucester, a huge thank you from the dogs for the opportunity to be seen on Sept. 14 (as well as countless other times)!
All of the "pound" and shelter dogs who were fortunate enough to be out that day. Thank you! They would like for you to know how special it was for them—it was akin to being taken to the State Fair as a child for us … new smells, excitement, thrills, and most importantly of all, having the chance to be seen and considered as possible adoptions. What a thrill it was to for them to be out of their cages—and seen, heard, admired, petted, stroked and generally accepted as pets who are used to this attention (for most of them are not)!
This is from the dogs themselves—thank you to all of you who made donations to the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society Shelter and GMAC (aka, the Gloucester pound)—without you these partners could not function. You were kind and caring enough to give up your hard-earned money to help with our heartworm treatments, special diets, skin care treatments, and above all, spaying and neutering. Also, thank you for noticing us—we so enjoyed our special day and beg you to consider us when thinking about a new pet … you have no idea.
