Letter: A forthcoming financial crisis
The majority of Americans simply cannot envision the potential for financial disaster that confronts this nation. With the Dow at all-time highs, many presume that all is well. The recession is past.
Meanwhile, unemployment remains high. Household incomes are down. Energy remains expensive and salaries, as a percentage of GDP, keep falling.
The Federal Reserve has set the stage for another crash of the economy. With Quantitative Easing continuing, the sum of U.S. dollar cash existing is over $1.5 trillion, with much of that going to European banks. The impression that the Italian and Spanish financial crises have been contained is in serious question. The crisis in Cyprus belies that impression.
The fact is, America and much of Europe is broke. Meanwhile, American business is recognizing that fact by cutting back and restructuring. This restructuring is further evidenced by the mass of store closings by many retailers—Best Buy, K-Mart, Sears, etc., are examples. The current political inability to address federal spending only contributes to the matter; even a smattering 2.4 percent spending cut as required by the sequester created a virtual hissy fit amongst many. What hope is there for real reform? The Federal Reserve is currently creating, out of thin air, $118 million per hour just to keep not only America, but much of Europe, afloat.
Rest assured, the government knows what is happening. They are aware of the default on the dollar that they are creating through the devaluation of the currency. This portends, as a result of a forthcoming financial crisis, unrest and chaos. Does anyone really believe that the purchases of ammunition by the government in sufficiently ample quantities to shoot every man, woman and child in America 5.5 times is really all about target practice? Does anyone really believe that the current emphasis by the government on curtailing and controlling gun ownership is really about safety?
With over 300 million guns in existence throughout the United States and with the government largely ignorant of where those guns are and who possesses these guns, is creating a great unease within government. After all, the true intent of the Second Amendment reinforces the premise clearly stated within the Declaration of Independence, i.e., to alter or abolish that government in the event of tyranny. Meanwhile, the media force-feeds the issue of gun control to the people while the government is creating a debt bomb that will inevitably collapse the system.
Some might conclude that I advocate such a disaster. Fortunately, I am not a damn fool. I simply strive to be aware of the facts as they exist, not the propaganda espoused by the mainstream media. I urge disagreement with my premise, but with facts to refute that premise.
Contrary to what might be a presumption by some, I pray for not only a return to limited government with Constitutional principles, I also pray for a return to sound finance and a thriving economy. However, the facts of the matter prompt a realistic assessment.
If my assessment should prove to be in error, I will relish eating crow in that event. My sole intent is to forewarn others against the propaganda that is being spouted by the government and media sources. Take it for what it is worth—a conspiracy theory or a clear and present danger. The choice is yours.
