Lois Lorean Thomas, 92, of North, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at her home following an extended illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred A. Thomas Sr.; two grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Lorean retired as an aide from Eastern State Hospital. She loved being outside in the evening, traveling, crocheting, reading, and especially liked watching horror movies.
She is survived by three daughters, Mona F. Hogge and husband Linwood, Mildred White and husband Gayle, Enolia Bristow and husband Frank; two sons, Alfred (Al) Thomas Jr. and wife Carolyn, George Paul Thomas and wife Kathy. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, in the chapel of Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point, conducted by the Rev. W. Donald Ambrose and the Rev. Chris Morgan. Interment followed in Rosewell Memorial Garden. The family received friends from 2-2:45 Tuesday prior to the service.
