Dale Leroy Johnson, 59, of Gloucester, died Nov. 2, 2012 at Halifax Regional Health System.
He was born in Altoona, Pa., but later put his roots down in the Peninsula area.
He was a power plant operator and employed with Dominion Power for 25 years. Dale was a down to earth guy, made friends easily and was devoted to his family. He enjoyed vacationing at the Outer Banks and especially enjoyed being Pop-Pop to his grandchildren. Dale had a passion for music, his dogs and Harleys.
You hold a special place in our hearts and we will miss you terribly.
He is survived by daughters, Brenda J. Asnicar and husband Keith, Hillary J. Walters and husband Thomas; mother, Delores Kauffman; sisters, Cathy Tellish, Debbie Caldwell; grandchildren, Daniella and Michael Asnicar, Molly and Ian Walters.
Funeral services conducted by the Rev. Steven Anderson will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment will follow in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family received friends Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
