Rodney L. Jarvis, of Gloucester, born Aug. 27, 1956, died at his home on Oct. 15, 2012 after a long struggle with cancer.
Ronnie was employed at Ball Metal Corporation for 31 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and being outdoors. He will be sadly missed by everyone, but is now free of pain and suffering to live eternity with God.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Mae Odham Lilly. He is survived by his wife, Carol Jarvis; daughter, Sabrina Briggs and husband Brandon; father, J.C. Lilly and step-mom, Nora; brother, Mike Jarvis; sister, Joyce Daughety and husband Michael; step-daughters, Jennifer Owens and husband Chris, Karie Garner; six grandchildren; one step-great-grandson; a host of nieces and nephews, and many friends.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. The family will receive friends Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
