Ralph Welton Wilson Sr., 78, of Gloucester, Va., passed away peacefully at the Hospice House of Williamsburg surrounded by his family on Monday, Sept. 3, 2012.
Ralph spent most of his life in Williamsburg, Va., moving as a child from Nash County, N.C. to Williamsburg in 1942, and then moving to Gloucester in 2006.
Mr. Wilson is survived by Carol, his wife of 57½ years. He also leaves behind four loving children, Ralph Wilson Jr., Diane Wilson, Katherine Williams, and Don Wilson, and was blessed to have six grandchildren growing up locally, along with two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lindsey Wilson and his mother and step-father, Basil and Beulah Joyner Brown also of Williamsburg, along with his brother, Jerry Wilson.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, Va. 23188.
