Charlie Francis Hough, 79, of Bena, died unexpectedly Aug. 26, 2011 at his home.
He was born in Cairo, Ga., on Sept. 13, 1931. He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Langley Air Force Base as Supply Services Supervisor. Chuck enjoyed gardening, working outdoors and being with his family. We will miss him and he will always be remembered.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty L. Hough; daughter, Cathy Boone; parents, Willie Arthur and Charlie Pearl Hough; sisters and brothers, Mary H. Graham, Martha H. Bunch, Alice Hough, Glenda Selfer, James Cecil Hough and Moody Hough.
He is survived by daughters, Carolyn Peacher and husband Bart, Vicky Shelton and husband Michael; sons, Neil Hough and wife Fay, Charlie Hough and wife Laura; brother, Joe Hough; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services conducted by the Rev. Timothy B. Kirby Sr. will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment with military honors will follow in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family received friends Wednesday from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
