Edith Teresa Canuel, 50, of Hayes, died Aug. 20, 2013 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Jan. 24, 1963 one of five children growing up in Gloucester and graduating from Gloucester High School.

Edith was one who greatly enjoyed life, liked to laugh and was very kind-hearted. She loved to play bingo and cook. She will be greatly missed. May her memory be a blessing for all.

She was preceded in death by her father, John M. Green Jr., and sister, Deborah Lynn Green.

She is survived by her mother, Shelby J. Green; daughter, Jennifer Green; sons, John Paul Dratwick, III and Zachary William Crawford; sister, Sophia Green; brothers, John William Green and Michael Anthony Green; twin grandsons, John Paul and Christian Aaron Dratwick, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service conducted by the Rev. Richard Whiteheart was held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23 at Union Baptist Church. Interment followed in Rosewell Memorial Garden. The family received friends Thursday, Aug. 22 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
