Robert Louis Callis, 90, of Hudgins, Va., passed away on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital.

He worked for Chesapeake Corporation and retired as a Tugboat Captain.

He was predeceased by his father, Arthur; mother, Gladys; son, Robert L. Jr., and a sister, Josephine Hudgins.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth C. Callis; two daughters, Faye Carlton (John), Karen Hall (Jimmy); one brother, Allen Callis (Shirley); daughter-in-law, Leilani Keiser (David); five grandchildren, Chris (Suzanne) Hall, Jason (Lindsey) Hall, Andrea Hall, John Robert Carlton, and Robert Callis Keiser; two great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Kenleigh Hall, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family received friends on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, from 6:30-8 p.m. at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Va. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed in H.C. Smither Cemetery, Hudgins.
