Richard Eugene "Gene" Windley, 70, of Gloucester, died on Friday, July 13, 2012 in Riverside Walter Reed Hospital.
He was born in Washington, N.C. and was raised in Newport News, Va. He graduated from Newport News High School in 1960 and was a graduate of Christopher Newport College. He was the son of the late Jack and Helen Windley.
Gene retired from Liebherr America in 2010 after 35 years of service as service manager and was a member of James River Hunt Club.
He is survived by his wife Pam Windley; daughter, Kimberly Roberson of Woodbridge, Va.; son, Tyler Windley of Gloucester, and his grandchildren, Brandon and Cameron.
The family received friends at Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, Va. on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 6:30-8 p.m.
