RICHARD ALAN RILEE

Richard Alan Rilee, age 71, born on Dec. 9, 1940, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning at his home in Cardinal, Va., Nov. 18, 2012. He was a devoted member of Kingston Episcopal Parish of Mathews, Va., and served for many years as chef of the pork barbecue at Fall Fair, as a member of the vestry, and baker of special cakes to those in need.

He held a special place in his heart for the Kairos Prison Ministry serving since 1999 at Buckingham Correctional Center. He was a past member and officer of the Lions Club of Newport News.

He is survived by his loving wife Mary Lou; sons Michael D. and Stephen (wife Crystal); five grandchildren, Skylar, Reagan, Peyton, Nicole and Alec, and sister, Patti St. Clair (husband Lew). He was preceded in death by his loving first wife of 40 plus years, Bonnie; his father, Walter T. Rilee, and mother, Anne Moore Rilee.

He was a graduate of the University of Virginia 1963 and the University of Richmond Law School.

A funeral service will be held on Nov. 29 at 11 a.m. at Christ Church, 320 Williams Wharf Road, Mathews.

Gifts may be sent in memory of Richard to Kingston Episcopal Parish, Kairos of Virginia, designate Buckingham Correctional Center, or American Diabetes Association.

Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Mathews, is in charge of the arrangements.
