Posted on Jun 29, 2011 - 01:44 PM Printer Friendly View

Minn(ie) Diana Cramer, age 80, of Wilmington, Del., died on June 25, 2011 at Christiana Hospital from complications of heart and lung disease.

She was born in Williamsburg, Va. (near Altoona) and was married to her husband John for 58 years. They had two children, Richard, who passed away at age 35 in Gloucester, Va., and Sandra, residing in Wilmington.

Minn was a floral designer at Boyd’s Florist for 17 years. She was a member of the Silver Pine Garden Club, having held various offices therein and a lifetime member of the Delaware Federation of Garden Clubs. Minn enjoyed traveling and vacationing in places like Aruba, Hawaii, or Nevada, but especially visiting throughout the years with relatives and friends in her hometown. After retirement, she enjoyed volunteering at SS Peter and Paul Orthodox Church whether making pierogies or preparing table floral arrangements for their annual winter dance.

Minn is also survived by her grandsons, John Michael Cramer (Leslie), Robert Cramer (Liz), and Luke Hermann; great-granddaughters, "Emmie" and newly born Caroline; daughter-in-law, Mary Keith (Bo Hermann); brothers, Ronald (Joyce) and Jerry (Cindy) Michelone; and sisters, Virginia King, Pauline Oberlander, and Dolores Beaver (Steve). She was predeceased by her parents, brothers, Ted, Joseph, "Medie," and Roger Michelone, and sister, Sylvia Hyle.

Our utmost gratitude to the nursing and physician staffs at Christiana Hospital for their compassion, understanding, and concerns for the welfare of Minn during her stay.

A viewing was held on Tuesday, June 28, at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway at Duncan Road from 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Wednesday, June 29, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington, Del. 19808. Graveside services will be on Friday at 10 a.m. at Abingdon Episcopal Church Cemetery, White Marsh, Va.
