A funeral for Mattie Elizabeth Hughes, 87, of Moon, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews. She died Monday, May 9, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Hughes Sr., and her son, William Jr.
Survivors include three daughters, Betty Anne Brown, Audrey Simmons, and Barbara Jean Hogge; her son, Thomas "Big Boy" Hughes; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in H. C. Smither Cemetery, Hudgins.
