A funeral for Marshall Miles Smith, 85, of Gloucester Point, was held at 3 p.m. Friday in Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. He died Tuesday, July 5, 2011.
Mr. Smith was a member of Union Baptist Church, Abingdon Ruritan Club and Achilles Masonic Lodge: AF&AM, No. 281. He was retired from Public Works Department, Naval Weapons Station, Yorktown.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey M. Smith; parents, Marion Lee and Nellie Blake Smith, and brothers, Vernon "Buddy" Smith and Marion B. Smith.
Survivors include a sister, Ruth Falkinburg.
The service was conducted by the Rev. Rodney Autry and the Rev. Richard Whiteheart. Interment followed in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery.
